Unbearably tense noir has an unknown, unseen and asthmatic madman threatening to kill a women, Lee Remick unless she cooperates in a crime. She discreetly contacts the FBI, Glen Ford for help. Filmed in high contrast black-and-white with a great jazz score. Final scene at Candlestick Park is superb.
