This Privacy Policy describes how Thinking Media, Inc., d/b/a STIRR ("STIRR," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you access or use the STIRR streaming service across any platform or device, including desktop and laptop computers, web browsers, iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, and connected television (CTV) platforms including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung Smart TV, and other streaming devices, apps, and distribution channels now existing or developed in the future (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service on any platform or device, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service on any platform or device.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways, including directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service on any platform or device, and from third parties.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration information, such as your name, email address, username, and password
  • Profile information you choose to add
  • Communications you send us, including support requests, feedback, and other correspondence
  • Payment information if you make purchases (processed by third-party payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Service on any platform or device, we and our service providers and third-party partners automatically collect certain information. The specific data collected may vary by platform and device type:

1.2.1 All Platforms

  • Usage information: content viewed or searched, search queries entered, time spent, links or content selected, and other interaction data
  • Log data: access times, error logs, and similar technical data
  • General location: derived from IP address or, where permitted, more precise location data
  • Viewing history: content you watch, browse, or interact with on the Service

1.2.2 Web and Browser Platforms

  • Browser type, version, and settings
  • Operating system and device type
  • IP address
  • Cookie and tracking data: information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, clear GIFs, browser fingerprinting, session replay technologies, and similar tracking technologies
  • Referring and exit URLs

1.2.3 Mobile Devices (iOS and Android)

  • Mobile advertising identifiers: Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) and Google GAID (Google Advertising ID), subject to your device privacy settings and permissions
  • Device identifiers: device model, manufacturer, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
  • Push notification tokens if you enable push notifications
  • Mobile network information and carrier
  • App usage and interaction data specific to mobile interfaces

1.2.4 Connected Television (CTV) and Streaming Device Platforms

When you access the Service through CTV platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung Smart TV, or other streaming devices, we and our platform and advertising partners may collect:

  • Device identifiers specific to the CTV platform, including Roku Device ID, Amazon Fire TV advertising ID, Apple TV identifier, and similar platform-assigned device identifiers
  • Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) data: on platforms that support ACR technology (such as Samsung Smart TV), information about content displayed on your television screen may be collected by the platform operator and shared with us and our advertising partners, subject to your platform privacy settings
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Platform-level advertising identifiers used for cross-device targeting and measurement
  • Viewing behavior, channel selections, content interactions, and search queries entered through the Service on the CTV platform
  • Device graph and cross-device matching data that may link your CTV device to other devices you use
  • Set-top box identifiers and household-level identifiers where applicable

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, including:

  • Analytics providers and data partners
  • Advertising networks, demand-side platforms, and data management platforms
  • CTV platform operators including Roku, Amazon, Apple, Google, and Samsung, subject to those platforms' own data practices and privacy policies
  • Social media platforms if you connect or interact with our Service through them
  • Measurement, verification, and attribution partners
  • Publicly available data sources

2. Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners use a variety of tracking technologies across our Service on all platforms. The specific technologies used vary by platform:

2.1 Web and Browser Technologies

  • Cookies: small text files placed on your device that allow us and our partners to recognize your browser and store information about your preferences and activity
  • Web beacons and pixel tags: small electronic files that allow us to count users who have visited pages and gather related website statistics
  • Session replay and heatmap tools: technologies that record or replay user interactions with our web-based Service for analytics and user experience optimization
  • Browser fingerprinting: collection of browser and device attributes that may be used to identify your device across sessions

2.2 Mobile Technologies

  • Mobile SDKs (Software Development Kits): embedded software libraries in our mobile apps that collect information from your device and transmit it to us or our partners
  • Mobile advertising identifiers: IDFA (iOS) and GAID (Android) used for targeted advertising and measurement, subject to your device-level privacy settings
  • Push notification tokens: used to deliver push notifications if you have enabled them

2.3 CTV and Streaming Device Technologies

  • Platform advertising identifiers: device-level identifiers assigned by CTV platforms used for ad targeting and attribution
  • ACR (Automatic Content Recognition): technology used by certain smart TV platforms that may recognize content displayed on screen; subject to your smart TV platform privacy settings
  • Cross-device matching: technologies that link your CTV viewing behavior to your other devices for advertising and measurement purposes
  • Server-side ad insertion (SSAI) tracking: used in our video delivery infrastructure to measure ad impressions and completions across CTV platforms

2.4 Google Analytics

  • We use Google Analytics to collect and analyze information about how users interact with our Service, including pages visited, time on service, search terms entered, referring sources, and demographic information. Google Analytics may collect your IP address and use cookies or device identifiers to track your activity. 2.5 Advertising Technologies

  • Demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), ad exchanges, ad servers, and other programmatic advertising tools operated by us or our advertising partners, including but not limited to video advertising platforms such as Aniview and similar services
  • Retargeting technologies that deliver advertising to you on other platforms based on your activity on our Service

2.6 Future Technologies

We may use other tracking and data collection technologies now existing or developed in the future. We will update this Privacy Policy as material new technologies are adopted.

By using our Service on any platform or device, you consent to the use of these technologies and the collection and sharing of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the Service across all platforms and devices
  • Personalizing content, recommendations, and your experience on each platform
  • Serving advertising, including targeted and interest-based advertising across platforms
  • Measuring the effectiveness of advertising and content on all platforms
  • Analyzing usage patterns and trends across platforms and devices
  • Communicating with you about the Service, including promotional materials, updates, and administrative messages
  • Processing transactions and managing your account
  • Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service and other agreements
  • Conducting research and analytics
  • Any other purpose with your consent or as permitted by applicable law

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 Service Providers and Partners

We share information with vendors, service providers, and partners who assist us in operating the Service across all platforms, including hosting providers, analytics companies, payment processors, advertising technology companies, measurement and verification services, content delivery networks, CTV platform integration partners, and customer support providers.

4.2 Advertising Partners

We share information with advertising partners to serve targeted advertisements on and off our Service across all platforms and devices. On CTV platforms, this may include sharing viewing data, device identifiers, and household-level data with demand-side platforms, ad exchanges, data management platforms, and other advertising technology providers. These partners may use platform identifiers, device identifiers, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your activity across services and devices over time.

4.3 CTV Platform Operators

When you access the Service through CTV platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, or Samsung Smart TV, those platform operators may independently collect data about your use of the Service pursuant to their own privacy policies. We may also share data with those platform operators in connection with delivering the Service, serving advertising, and measuring performance. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the CTV platforms through which you access our Service.

4.4 Analytics Providers

We share information with analytics providers, including Google Analytics and similar services, to understand how users interact with our Service across platforms. This includes information about content watched, search terms entered, pages viewed, and other usage data. Search queries you enter into our Service may be transmitted to and processed by these analytics providers as part of standard analytics data collection.

4.5 Business Transfers

We may disclose or transfer your information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

4.6 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities.

4.7 Protection of Rights

We may disclose your information to protect the rights, property, and safety of STIRR, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

4.8 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
  • The right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • The right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We do not sell personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization.

6. Platform-Specific Privacy Controls

In addition to the controls described in Section 10 below, you may have privacy controls available to you through the specific platform or device through which you access the Service:

  • iOS devices: you can limit ad tracking or opt out of personalized ads through Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising
  • Android devices: you can opt out of personalized ads through Settings > Google > Ads
  • Roku: you can limit ad tracking through Settings > Privacy > Advertising on your Roku device
  • Amazon Fire TV: you can opt out of interest-based ads through Settings > Preferences > Privacy Settings on your Fire TV device
  • Samsung Smart TV: you can manage ACR and advertising settings through Settings > Support > Terms & Policy on your Samsung TV
  • Google TV / Android TV: you can manage ad personalization through your Google account settings

Note that opting out through platform-level controls limits our ability to use platform-provided identifiers for advertising but does not necessarily stop all data collection by the platform operator under that platform's own privacy practices.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 on any platform. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@stirr.com.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When we no longer need personal information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction across all platforms. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems or your information. You use the Service and provide information to us at your own risk.

10. Your Choices and Controls

10.1 Cookies and Browser Tracking

You may control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, if you block cookies, some features of our web-based Service may not function properly. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and the Digital Advertising Alliance at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

10.2 Mobile Advertising Identifiers

You can reset or limit the use of your mobile advertising identifier through your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads.

10.3 CTV Platform Controls

You can manage advertising and data collection settings through the privacy or settings menus on your CTV device. See Section 6 above for platform-specific instructions.

10.4 Google Analytics

You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Note that this opt-out applies to browser-based access only and does not affect data collection through mobile or CTV apps.

10.5 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals. We also recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law. Our web-based Service evaluates GPC signals. GPC signals do not apply to our mobile or CTV applications, which are governed by platform-level privacy controls.

10.6 Account Information

You may update or correct information in your account by logging into your account settings. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@stirr.com. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Service, including the privacy policies of the CTV platforms and app stores through which you access our apps.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this Policy. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice, such as by posting a notice on our Service or sending you an email. Your continued use of our Service on any platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
